LD0480 - The financial dilemma faced by SMEs in China after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Covid19 pandemic has resulted in a significant adverse impact on SMEs globally. Since the pandemic hit countries in early 2020, SMEs nationwide have had to adapt to a constantly shifting business environment marked by lockdowns, social isolating measures, and significant supply chain disruptions. But SMEs in China faced significant and all-encompassing difficulties due to lockdown policies and strict restrictions (Lu, et al. 2021). Due to the pandemic, several small businesses cannot survive in the market, especially in China, SMEs suffered worst because nearly 67.69% of SMEs in the country have a low operating income and around 21.61% cannot repay their debts (Ma, Liu and Gao, 2021).
