select one of the following priority areas, ensuring your choice is well-justified in the context of your
organisation:
Organisational culture change and development
Recruitment, selection and onboarding
Performance management
Employee engagement
Managing equality, diversity and equity
Employee wellbeing
You should critically analyse the chosen HRM priority area in your organisation, including identifying:
1. Why this is a priority area (the benefits)
2. Its current weaknesses in the organisation (what hasn’t been working?)
3. The impact this has had on the organisation (the negative outcomes)
Note: You must use organisational examples to support your points.
You should then provide feasible recommendations as to how the HR function could improve the priority
area in your organisation, and these should be realistic within the specific context of your organisation.
Note: These recommendations will form the basis of Assignment 2.
