presentation must include a brief illustration of the proposed project in
any of Masters’ dissertation, consultancy project or management
enquiry

Suggested structure for your BM9718 proposal
• Introduction (use citations if possible)
• Describe the topic area
• Justify the need for the research
• Present your research aims/objectives

• Literature review (must include citations)

• Discuss the main debates in the topic area using 6-12 recent sources
• Aim for a critical writing style, rather than a descriptive one
• Identify the specific research questions

• Outline your philosophical stance (eg Positivism or Interpretivism)
• Provide details on your proposed data collection/generation methods
• Outline the proposed analysis methods
