What am I required to do in this assignment?
You will be required to make a 10-minute presentation (and 5-minute Q&A session) exploring gender and equality issues.
Group members must critically evaluate if the hospitality sector needs to do more to improve gender equality and why
gender differences matter in hospitality.
As an individual you are to write an 800-word report reflecting on how the process of gathering information for this
presentation has (or has not) changed your understanding and/or perception of gender equality in the hospitality sector.
What do I need to do to pass? (Threshold Expectations from UIF)
 Demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of international hospitality operations in different cultural
environments.
 Identify and compare challenges and opportunities relevant to the case study.
How do I produce high quality work that merits a good grade?
We will be filling this section in together in class on TBC make sure you have downloaded/printed out the Assignment Brief and
bring it to the session with you.

How does this assignment relate to what we are doing in scheduled sessions?
We will be discussing topics that are relevant to the assessment every week and therefore attendance is crucial to enable you
to explore these topics and engage with your tutors on how best to tackle this assessment.
